Due to its strategic location in the northwest of China, the Ningxia Hui autonomous region has long had an economy that is outward looking in nature. Historically, Ningxia was a node on the ancient Silk Road and a fulcrum of transportation and trade between East and West.  

Today, through leveraging the advantages of "international channels + ports + bonded zones", the region provides enterprises with one-stop services including logistics, freight forwarding and bonded processing in a manner that nurtures and expands its outward-oriented economy. The development of Ningxia Junhai Oils Co. is a vivid example of this service model.

Ningxia Junhai Oils Co. settled in the Yinchuan Comprehensive Bonded Zone in August 2022 and completed the construction of the largest single flaxseed oil processing production line in the country on January 27, 2023. The production line can process up to 200 tons per day, achieving an annual processing capacity of 60,000 tons of flaxseed.

The raw materials purchased by the company are mainly imported from Russia and Kazakhstan. Russian raw materials are mainly shipped from Vladivostok in Russia to Tianjin in China, with a one-stop customs clearance process, and then transported by rail to Yinchuan South Station in Ningxia. Goods from Kazakhstan are mainly imported via the China-Europe Railway Express and transported by rail to Yinchuan.

As the first bonded processing enterprise in the Yinchuan Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the company won active support from various departments during its initial construction phase. With strong support from the Ningxia Department of Commerce, the Yinchuan Comprehensive Bonded Zone Management Committee and Customs, Ningxia Junhai Oils resolved the issue of vehicles transitioning from a single batch entry to now multiple batch entries, greatly optimizing the efficiency of the vehicle entry process.

The processed flaxseed crude oil is mainly distributed to two cooperative enterprises – one in Wuzhong city, Ningxia, and another in Nantong city, Jiangsu. These enterprises further refine the product and distribute it nationwide, with the finished oil primarily serving Sanming in Fujian, Shanghai and Nantong in Jiangsu.

The preliminary future plan of Ningxia Junhai Oils is to increase the processing volume of flaxseed oil, with the ultimate goal of establishing a complete flaxseed industry chain within the Yinchuan Comprehensive Bonded Zone.

Recently, flaxseeds and their deep-processed products from Ningxia have shone brightly at major international and domestic exhibitions.
