China-Mideast Agri-Trade Matchmaking Event (UAE) was held in Dubai on Nov. 18th. The event was hosted by the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (hereinafter referred to as the ATPC), co-organized by the Longcheng Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Dubai.

The responsible person in charge of the ATPC said that China and the UAE enjoy a close agricultural cooperative relationship, and the trade volume of agricultural products has maintained growth for 6 consecutive years. In 2023, the trade volume reached 1.64 billion US dollars, with both imports and exports seeing double-digit growth. The agricultural trade cooperation between the two countries is in the best period in history and will embrace greater development opportunities.

At the event, nearly 30 Chinese agricultural enterprises recommended high-quality special agricultural products such as fruits, vegetables and tea to their Middle Eastern partners. Representatives from both sides exchanged the practical experience in agricultural production, supply chain management, logistics and transportation, etc. A number of enterprises from Shandong, Heilongjiang and other regions signed 10 cooperation agreements with the UAE side on garlic, pre-made food and other products.
